What Gracie Barra is
Gracie Barra is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu organization founded in Rio de Janeiro in 1986 by Master Carlos Gracie Jr., and its academies around the world teach one structured curriculum under the idea of “jiu-jitsu for everyone.”
That structure is the heart of the Gracie Barra program. Adults move through GB1 Fundamentals, GB2 Advanced and GB3, and kids train in age-based Gracie Barra Kids classes. A student who trains here learns the same program taught at Gracie Barra schools elsewhere.
How the program runs at Gracie Barra Ocotillo
- Kids, 3 to 14: Tiny Champions (3–4), Little Champions I (5–6), Little Champions II (7–9) and Juniors and Teens (10–14). Kids programs
- Adults: GB1 Fundamentals six days a week, then GB2 and GB3, plus No-Gi, competition training and open mats. Adult programs
- Women: a women’s class Fridays at 10:00 AM. Women’s jiu-jitsu
