Teaching Chandler families since 2018

How we teach

We teach the Gracie Barra curriculum: a structured program that moves adults from GB1 Fundamentals to GB2 and GB3, and kids through age-based Gracie Barra Kids classes.

A structured curriculum matters most to beginners. You don’t have to guess what to learn next, and a class taught by one coach builds on the class another coach taught the day before. For kids, classes are split into narrow age groups so a five-year-old isn’t trying to keep up with a nine-year-old.

Jiu-jitsu is a grappling art. There’s no punching or kicking in class; students learn to control, escape and submit.

Gracie Barra

Gracie Barra was founded in Rio de Janeiro in 1986 by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. and has academies around the world. Being part of it means our students train the same program as Gracie Barra students elsewhere and can take part in Gracie Barra events. More about Gracie Barra near Chandler

About this website

Chandler Jiu Jitsu is a website of Gracie Barra Ocotillo, a Gracie Barra academy at 5505 S Lindsay Rd, Suite 103, Gilbert, AZ 85298, that serves Chandler families. This is our only location.
